Royal Dutch Shell another leak

An oil slick two miles by 13 miles
Stretches across the sea
90 miles off the coast of Louisiana
Rolling free
Crude oil thick and smelly
The glider subsea tie
There wasn’t any drilling there
But we have to ask them why

They didn’t even know about it
Till a helicopter saw
The slick and called the company
Nobody is sure
Why its actually happened
But its happened and it will
Cause upsets in the gulf for sure
And wildlife it will kill

This ugly puke this wretched muck
And so it needs the clean
More shit will now be sprayed around
To me it is obscene
On the sea and down below more evil
To believe
These platforms are environmental risks
It makes me grieve

To see the lackadaisical response
These corporates are
Oh is there a oil leak
i hope its not gone far!
How comes they didn’t even know
Its because why should they care
The environment just suffers
When nobody’s aware

We treat it like our cess pool
Our dustbin anyway
All the sea life down below
Let them buggers pay
The phytoplankton the fishes
The mammals few will see
They are puking up their guts
In the deep blue sea

Will it ever stop this madness
The corporate refrain
Making money hand over fist
Most of them insane
What can ordinary people do
Nothing in the face
Of GIANTS with the money and the power
And not an ounce of grace

Royal Dutch Shell
You turn this hell
Which was once pristine and clean
And now the wild life suffers so
I believe thats mean
You get away with murder
No one really cares
BRUTUS platform I don’t know
This whole damn business scares

Me

Really it does

And the clean up team are on their way
Is that corexit Or
Some other crappy chemical
You hope that we ignore
Like BP yea they abused it
And its still there that I know
Leaching into our precious world
All part of the flow
