The Southern India Ocean
The Crozet Islands where
The Orca’s come and stay a while
And the Elephant Seals
They share
A period of dominance where harems come and go
And King Penguins wander here and there
And gradually they grow
Out of furry bodices
And into their penguin suits
By this time the mother elephants seals
Have all gone off to feed
And many will fall victims to the Orca’s
Who succeed
By being strong and positive
And knowing when to feed
The longliners are fishing
For Chilean Sea Bass where
The Orca’s are always after
A catch that they can sharen
The problem is these longliners
Are pirates and they do
Use dynamite to frighten off the Orca’s
Which is true
Orca’s are opportunists
And if they are threatened by
Pirates as they draw in their lines
They always will apply
Themselves to other diets
Like the Elephant seals
Penguins even given the chance
And to see what that reveals
They are very social animals
Matriarchs that train
They are very efficient
They have their massive brain
And work hard for each other
Sharing all the way
Knowledge foods and expertise
Every single day
When the baby seals get older
They have to use the sea
And again the Orca’s are waiting
And are murdered ruthlessly
Its their one and only baptism
And it ends as frantically
Gobbled up by the sentinels
The Orca’s who now be
Gorging themselves rotten
For they too will soon be
Setting out for colder climes
Hunting wild and free
Imagine all those captive souls
Who languish in blue pools
In utter isolation
Tended by the fools
Nothing could be more alien
Socially adrift
With no means of communication
And no wild foods to lift
Their souls and their emotion
Nor their energy levels too
Captivity is negative
And to last their whole lives through
Is to lose one’s true perspective
Be Close minded and alone
The matriarchal system
The seeds that have been sown
What is and isn’t natural
Such knowledge that they had
Being a corporate prisoner
A slave forever sad
They must be left to wildness
The freedom to all be
Themselves beyond the passing shore
Of real discovery
Despite their optimism
Their sage like quality
Their undisputed rationale
And of course the open sea
