My Tree 3

A deep dark sky
An April eve
A silhouette
Doth still achieve
A resplendent shadow
A glimpse of night
What was red this morning
Has a blackened flight
And slowly its fading into the night

A scatter of leaves
That toss and turn
What disappears first
Hard to discern
The nature of the silhouette
Enveloped in the sky and set

To disappear for evermore
Nearly 9 and somehow its gone
Drenched in darkness
From now on

I know its there
And even if I try
I cannot see it
That is no lie
That beautiful tree
Has just slipped away
Lets hope it returns
Another day
