tilikum 6

Tilikum 2 years were spent
Long ago
Off Iceland
An ocean where this boy did grow
Where Triton and Tethys
Great gods of the sea
Provided protection and vivacity

In those days Sea World
Were the power base and they
Captured his pod and drove them away
Three babies slaughtered
And Tilikum he
Became their prisoner
A luminary

Up from the deep from the wildness
Of space
From the aquamarine where miracles chase
Diversity beckons iridescence its there
Kaleidoscopic and just everywhere

Imagine this boy excited to be
Observing the surface perspective,nand see
Great forests of kelp and corals of cream
The whole world below just like some dream
So much expectation and certainty
A mirage of wonderment forever free

Then in a Moment great chaos ensues
Sea World is after us its such bad news
Shysters and chisellers bomb blasts and more
With vigour and drive comes drama and gore
Their motive capture outrage and sin
Evil abuse the veil wearing thin

Wicked and shameful damnable fools
In pursuit of our freedom
The great gorgon drools
Hunting and shooting the trackers are here
Casting their doubts and spreading their fear

We try to evacuate just swim away
But are rapidly caught a very dark day
Danger is rearing its great ugly head
And already some of us sadly are dead

The action of many the swing and the glide
Massive mishandling no where to hide
So much exertion struggle and strain
We though were caught in its lasting refrain

War was upon us and hostility
We had become drenched in adversity
The greatest misfortune and just misery
And humiliation and so tragically

The ocean was gone we were now on our way
Back to the coastline across the bay
Into a tank a rank body to where
Of all the dark shadows we became aware

Our freedom to think to judge to exclaim
Now not at liberty this was not the same
It was prison of some kind unconditioned were we
To the temperature and the vile smell of the sea

Our life now in limbo a dungeon of sorts
Choked up and awful it played on our thoughts
Cramped and uncomfortable lifeless and dead
We felt so challenged and so under fed

All of these years we have been under their thumb
We are their property made to feel numb
By the dead slimy fish that they throw at us
We do not get to catch the live fish actually

They drug us we know that for after each meal
We are affected somehow they steal
Our reason to live our real sense of play
Our true joy of life it seems to fly away

We do so suffer the vagaries here
The discomfort and sadness and holding each tear
Back we are trying to for what we see
Is now hopelessness and melancholy

Sea World its known as great tanks of chlorine
How our eyes smart some impassioned machine
They make us do tricks simpletons they
Expect us to work for them pure slaves each day

Amusing the sicko’s evidently
Who pay to watch us do their stuff in the sea
It isn’t sea water its chemicals and we
Get weaker each day our insipidity

And its so monotonous leaden and slow
Dragging our bodies where ever we go
Its boring its so drab and really its grave
An uglification that no one can save

So they do abuse me and what I have done
Is killed a few, somehow I must have some fun
Their virgin trainers knew nothing of how
We live and we breathe and just stay in the now

Fear is our worry defeated we feel
Our life is hopeless and incredibly real
Drugged up to the eye balls and abused every day
And all we desire is just take us away

Total uninterest and complete apathy
We need to be loved we need to be free
They swagger and swank its all puffery here
We do the tricks and we feel the fear

They are big mouthed braggarts
Liars in fact
When some of us get sick or die they react
By then spreading rumours or lies let me say
When they say we are sent off to Ohio but they

Closed down Ohio its just so those who
Protest at our treatment don’t know what they do
And won’t kick a fuss putting pressure to bear
Affecting their profits which of course is not fair

My name is Tilikum I am real sad
I have killed a few trainers which makes me feel bad
Its those bloody directors that need to observe
Just how sad we are for the great learning curve
Is now costing our health and the ability
Of all of the charges and that includes me
I hate being here all these years its not fair
And how is it really YOU are unaware

I will die very soon kick the bucket away
All those rancid fish how much now I pay
My lungs are infected my heart is with pain
I do feel so sickly and clouds form in my brain
SEA wORLD are so frightful so ugly to me
Slavish and cowardly with such servility

So soon I will pass on my life so extreme
A victim of prison each day now I scream
To the heavens for mercy just to take me away
Cut off my air flow and just let me sway
This way and that way until yes I die
And I never need ever to open my eye

Never to see you to hear you to know
Perpetual darkness wherever I go
Blind to emotion in sadness I be
Gone with the wind and forever free
