The veterinary who kills

Who walks in the footsteps of Palmer
Luciano Ponzetto I hear
An Italian director of a kennels
In Caluso near Turin and one tear

Became many teardrops
A whole flood recorded
What he got then was hate mail
Delivered in sacks for clearly he lacks
Compassion for there he did fail

After shooting a Lion in Tanzania
Everyone wondered what for
Being a veterinarian
What marks him out at his core
He having a great love for earthlings
Saving them every day
Only to kill their big brothers and sisters
For hunting was simply the way

He didn’t see conflict of interest
He thought it compatible he
During the day would be healing
And away would be killing
We see,
the obvious really how ugly
Comparing the two actions would
Bring down upon him such negative vibes
Which in a million years wouldn’t be good

But he went ahead with his rifle
And brought down a great full maned Lion
And being an animal healer
He felt in his heart all was fine
Till the hate mail all started arriving
From his pictures posed with the dead beast
Thats when the kennels then sacked him
Thats when his brain must have ceased

Working for ask anybody
The vets that you use would you mind
If they killed animals in their spare time
As a sport
Really just to unwind
