The American dream at Christmas
An atrocity we hear
A shelter in Texas
A safe place for animals
All of them murdered
In heightened fear

Man calls himself kind
In his so called books
He is an insolent beast
With the ugliest looks
As selfish as hell
Such improbity he
Thinks of himself
How can that be

A shelter a place
Where we go to be safe
To be loved to be shown
A stray or a waif
Lost in the darkness
Perhaps all wet through
Left by the wayside
As some humans do

A story of christmas
A time of goodwill
Take all the animals out
There and kill
Everyone give them a send off today
So we can go off
On our own holiday

Texas the cow country
Lets eat the dead
Lets kill the animals
To Shelter they are led
Into the kill room
Yes one by one
Happy Christmas
And bang ye and your dead
Someones son
Or daughter goodbye
Rainbow bridge is for you
Thats where you will find help
Not here
And thats true

We want our holidays
We will not work
So you lot had best
Sort it out out
Where they lurk
In their own little cages
Away from the sin
They were led to their deaths
They just couldn’t win

Despair on their faces
As the needle they felt
The angels beside them
Bloody well knelt
Down in their darkness
Wondering why
Man, man unkind let these
Earthlings die

The american dream
And TEXAS the state
Honestly truthfully
They couldn’t wait
To go home and enjoy
Christmas and be
In the lap of their gods
In their homes happily

Knowing their charges
Thats cat boys and girls
The dog boys the dog girls
All the sweet pearls
Of existence had been needled
Out of this world
Their christmas was death
And to the darkness hurled

Each one they knew
In the final moments that they
Were the sacrifice
At the end of the day

A sick selfish world we are part of today
And all those sad animals what can we say
Who can we blame perhaps what we see
