The green (wo)man

There are green women
But mostly it is the man
This patriarchal ascendancy
Just seems to go to plan
The women in the parlour
The men well god knows where
But they become the green man
And the women are no where

Symbolic of the coming
Of the sun the bright lights too
He sees the death of Winter
The birth of Spring its true
But she is also out there
Doing the family chores
Dismissed unpaid yea probably
And tends to be indoors
