Jeremy Corbyn

A man with self reliance
He is undaunted in his search
Determined and unshakable
He keeps to his own church
With vivacity and humour
With great optimism too
Cordial and expressive
With a passion that comes through

Clearly he is up against it
The warring parties do
Want to fight and bomb and strafe
But thats not Corbyn’s view
He clearly has an affection
For honesty and care
And throws caution to the wind
He does
And we feel him fair and square

He doesn’t have a peerage
He is like a normal chap
Dependable and thoughtful
With humility that does wrap
Around the broken spirited
He is modest if a bit shy
Well mannered and and good tempered
And all round lovely guy

He leads the labour party
And is getting lots of flack
Its because he is no puppet
Under corporate attack
The tories see their glories
Toppling his, they feel
He is just not one of them in fact
Which of course is real

Humanity is better placed
For he has a leading part
He has an appreciation
You can feel it from the start
You just know where you are with him
He has duty and we see
He has his moral principles
And respectability

He Talks it through a little
For always it ends well
When people sit around a table
And talk until the bell
Respect each others purpose
Value their ideas
And Don’t make accusations
Which often lead to tears

Jeremy is a good man
A gentleman all through
A paragon of virtue
A morality thats true
He needs his party supporting him
Not running hard away
But putting their tired backs to the wheel
And collectively now pay

For there are lots of pipers out there
Ready to go to war
Ready to bomb the ISis mob
Who go against the law
But warring kills The innocent
The civilians take a hit
And so a man of the people
Is bound to care a bit

They are trying hard to denounce him
To strip him from his post
They are sadly bad mouthing him
Something I hate most
He has reasoning and intuition
And demonstrates his path
His judgement sadly shot away
By the feeling of great wrath

I hope he stands his ground here
And takes it to us all
He must be feeling under pressure
Pushed against the wall
But I think he is up to it
He has wisdom and great charm
They can be rude and childish
But Jeremy must stay calm

The opposition strengthened
By the addition of his crew
They think they have the measure
But he is good and true
They may be bombing Syria
And fighting the Assad regime
But bullies come and bullies go
And when kicked they often scream
