Have we reached the tipping point

Compare the rainforest
These last 40 years
Go to Malaysia
Hold back the tears
Perhaps you cant see
Perhaps you don’t care
So many with asthma
From the state of the air

The forest was once massive
The planets lungs
Loaded with oxygen
Till huge lapping tongues
Of fire slash and burn came along
And we saw
The devil incarnate
Him in the raw

All those precious trees
All those plants all those fruits
All those wonderful animals
Deep in the roots
All that fabulous soil
Fertile and good and what did we do
We did what we could

In cities we turn away
In our concrete blocks
We used more and more
Of the planets stocks
Of oil
It was comfort and plastics
We used
We sat back and watched
As Corporations abused

All that was natural
That amazing land
The indigenous suffered
They couldn’t understand
The madness aforethought
The perils on earth
Slash and burn science
It ruined the earth

The Orangutan the arborial soul
Was pulled off the trees
We were in control
We wanted the logs
We needed to see
Deserts of palm
Replacing the sea
Of trees all that wisdom
The health nature gave
Not a tree left
Nothing no one could save

Re planting palm oil
A sickness upheld
Away went the medicinal plants
Trees were felled
Animals slaughtered
Nobody cared
The corporate monsters
Nobody shared

Just slaughter them all
For the palm oil we need
Watch the trees torn down
Watch the plants bleed
Watch the great deserts open and say
Palm oil is great and its VEGAN today

What of the animals
What of the birds
What of the reptiles
I am lost for words
What of the insects
Everything lost
Dead to the world
An enormous cost

People were shocked at the vile extent
Corporates ugly and vicious intent
To ruin this planet to scoop up the gold
The oil they could plunder
And so much they have sold
Yes good to fry chips
Yes good to be
Processing fast food
The profits can be

As high as we want
At the death of the trees
And corporate power its there if you please
We have allowed them to grow
We have allowed them to be
And now they are bringing in the TPP
Your children will wonder
How sick you were for
This trans pacific partnership
Is blood and gore
Your children if you have them
Will kneel down and cry
At how stupid you were
For they now do die

The atmosphere’s toxic
The chem trails they sprayed
The slash and burn tactics
The great PALM oil trade
Yes it was vegan
Some vegan told me
Such fucking ignorance
She couldnt see
The nose on her face
Like I could and I
Will go to my grave
With tears in my eye

Not for her or her mates
On the vegan page
But for all of the animAls
Lost in this age
All of her children
All of them will
Suffer so much
From the blood her lot spill

I cry in my sleep knowing
What they have done
The infernal bastards who slept in the sun
The American dream is a fucking nightmare
Leaving this planet
In so much despair
I cry for the indigenous
I cry for them all
Deforestation
Wake up dear fool

Stuck on your lap top
You digital arse
Look in the mirror
Just as I pass
Stare at the ocean
Thats now full of shit
Look for a forest
No trees left
I pit
My soul against yours any day
You vile creep

Soon i agree
My eternal sleep
Will come
I will die frustrated as hell
Will somebody out there
Read this and tell

Those twerps they are destroying us all
And more rapidly than some of you know
