To prevent the importation
Of trophies
The disgrace
Of Cecil the Lions
Sad slaughter by the dentist
Who we all know
Has created this miasma
That has grown as we all know

A New Jersey senator
Proposed the bill for he
Was as touched and any of us
And found that he could be
The instigator of what will
Prevent this awful stuff
These psychopathic dentists
Of whom we have had enough

At the moment it wont cover Lions
But hopefully soon it will
And this whole trophy hunting game
Hopefully it will kill
It from start to finish
A cowards game anyway
And killing off the wild animals
Only brings dismay

So America full marks to you
Other countries now
Need to apply similar laws
If you couldn’t well now how
Can America do this if they can

Clearly that does feed
Into this whole debacle
And lets hope Palmer goes
And at least is tried for his killing
