Re-homing Lions

The zoo had closed
And there they were
4 lions just left around
Between a greenhouse and a tip
That where they were found

Ragged very much the worst for wear
Abused and given less
Nutrition their condition
Pretty high on stress

What was to become of them
Enter four paws and they
Found a sanctuary for them
But very far away

Back to their roots in Afrika
They were going bAck
Darted in their encloses
And crated just a knack

Of a bit of true sedation
Wrapping them up well
And taking them to heaven
Not leaving them in Hell

A plAne ride and arrival
On African vital shore
And put
into an enclosure
Bigger than before

The african winds upon their face
They must have felt that they
Were back upon the continent
That the left maybe a way

Ago
When cubs they travelled
And were forced to cAges there
From the wilderness in africa
To the cages of despair
