Grandfather bear a story of Florida

A victim of human destructive ability
An old bear half blind and alone
Living deep in the forest
A florida Forest
Harvested that was the tone

Shot to death sporting some vintage
Handicapped sadly was he
Considered superfluous by human kind
A complete waste of time actually

But he was a stalwart supporter
Of the forests and all that was there
He kept well away from the beings on two legs
They tended to bring more despair

He was strong still he limped
But he still got about
More slowly of course but he could
Find berries and buds he could manage
His diet
And life for him it had been good

He knew that some young bears
Had gone into the towns
And raided the bins it was known
But he kept himself to himself
He was old
Though that sort of knowledge had grown

Age brings its own sense of wisdom
As the gait slows the heart carries on
The senses are heightened
The grey matter too
Where the instinctive patter
Is gone

The new world creates a new picture
And this old soul followed its course
Till a hunter man came with such arrogance thought
And wanted of course just to force

His way on the old bear completely
Shot him to death with one click
The youth of today can never hold sway
For the digital mobsters are thick

The grandfather bear
Lay in his lair
Resting his heart and his soul
Florida hunt decided their punt
Was worthy to establish control

Hundreds of wild souls were slaughtered
Triggers were pulled everywhere
Hundreds of babies left dying
The forest is one of despair

Florida your rewards coming
As tourists and others decide
Not to come visit but to boycott your place
Your forests and your countryside

Exchanging currency
Exchanging trade
With monsters who go
By themselves to parade
Dead bears around is not seen to be
Any place we wish to go actually

FLORIDA you have cooked your own books i an all My friends
Will never darken your doors again ever
Our currency you have lost. Be happy
