Mr Philip Davies
Won his oratory wings
In the house he did his bit
And we know now what it brings
More difficulties for carers
Visiting hospital for they
Are having to pay a ransom
And this is not the way
To help hard working carers
Many are finding it hard
They really get no respite
And to hear this sort of bard
Expounding his stupid theories
In a fillibustering way
Wasting time and repeating himself
To try to save the day
A private members bill
Was read
To try and help them for they
Are often single parents
And the charges they are way
Too high they are they are robbing
People of their rights
And this MP used delaying tactics
And his action truly bites
And he stood up for carers
But blocked this great idea
I hope he is very proud tonight
For to me its very clear
Its a mean and nasty thing to do
To carers everywhere
Many of whom are struggling
Is this man unaware?
They give their lives to caring
To sharing and when he
Is probably having a joyful day
Often the carers plea
Is they wish they could be as fortunate
But in fact its not to be
They sacrifice their freedom
So that others can be free
So that institutionalised living
Is not the shelter they
Are given at the states expense
The carer cares each day
Each night each hour each moment
And, does not get paid
So to deny them free parking at hospital
At his sad door is laid
A rotter badge for honestly
To filiibuster here
Was really very uncaring
For the tories it is clear
The poorer have no say in tHings
They are scroungers all the way
And I hope this man and the others
See the light of day
For it comes around and one day
Maybe he will need a helping hand
But when nobody will give it
Perhaps he will understand
To use such a technique on such a cause
Saddens me to my core
To be this unaware of extreme difficulties
Such an outcome shows me and makes me eternally sad
For what we all call democracy and compassion
