Hedgehog

I may be a simple fellow
From your garden maybe so
But i do have a place in life
I thought you ought to know

Its an ignorant misnomer
Designed to carry strife
For the victimization of an innocent
Going about his life

And why would that be ask yourselves
Some of the youth today
Are as wicked as the day is long
And perverted so to say

Depraved in fact and rotten
For what in fact they do
Is throw lighter fluid over it
And burn it good and true

The agony immense and these
boys
all thought
That it was really hilarious
Nobody had taught

Them to respect the wild life
And to understand that each
Wild soul has a purpose
And most are here to teach

Their innocence and blamelessness
Their venial displays
They won’t see compensation
But karma has its ways

Of spreadings gifts a plenty
For the payback it will come
On a lonely night in a lonely room
When Cerridwen and some

Of his quiet disciples
Will enter and will repay
The boys for their attention
And it will hurt I can say

A HEDGEHOG has an essential role
And the lack of understanding
Is evident here whatever school
They go to clearly handing
Them a lot of knowledge but not of the
Wild soul kind
And they will regret what they have done
And to know might blow our mind

Parents where are the parents
Where are the parents in all of this
I’d be
Interested so to hear
Where was the empathy
Didn’t they really realise the agony
That they
Were inflicting on that animal
Who clearly Was going to pay

And pay it did it died of its burns
You cannot stop to feel
The torture and the injustice
For that animal was real
It suffered in its adversity
The iniquity and pain
And a weird discrimination
That fills me with disdain
