the dog meat market in Seoul
Is no place for those who
Feel even a little intimidated
By the cruelty and who
In their right minds would go there
And take these ruffians on
These low life dog meat traders
Who have always been upon
The streets with all their cages
Packed with dogs and they
Are skinned alive and tortured
Every single day
The public sees it happening
Some buy into it and they
Somehow lost their spirit
And the poor dogs how they pay
There is no sanitation
Their is no empathy
They are bloody cruel to them
As cruel as they can be
These darling dogs
With wagging tails
Are smashed about their head
Its supposed to make their meat taste good
And of course they are not fed
They witness all this slaughter
Of their Cage mates every day
Imagine what that does to dogs
How they are made to pay
The activists like Nami Kim
And Isabel Han they are
Courageous as the day is long
Each a great big star
Clearly facing all that horrid wrath
And suffering too
Being beaten back in fact
When they try to do
What they can for the injured souls
The public passing by
They wont make an effort
So the activists who try
Get their bodies beaten
But still they carry on
Animals rights is in their sights
And will be till these shops are gone
And this week a rotten dirty hole
Was closed down which is good
It shows that even these market traders
Others think its good
For the dirt bags to be forced out
For those dogs to not be killed
In such heinous vile despicable ways
And all that blood thats spilled
Stays there on the sidewalk in the puddles
In the grime
Its filthy dirty horrible work
And it happens all the tIme
For years the numbers growing
The torture and the pain
And the activists were struggling
But have one through again
slowly slowly activism builds
And with it some
Fight off these age old practices
Where so many are so numb
Fight to clean the streets of all this horror
Which is why
We must take our hats off to them
Saving dogs who would otherwise die
To the activists of South Korea
We tHank you from the heart
You are very courageous
Activism at the start
Is always much more difficult
With the traders entrenched there
And with no help from the authorities
You alone face the despair
The total lack of conscience
All that laxity
The racketeering in those place
And the depravity
Its intolerable behaviour
And you have taken it on
You now fight their corner
Until the dog shops all are gone
