Bringing knowledge he
Lit up the darkness many saw
And felt he passed his key
To us and we with study
Invited others too
Get on the macrobiotic path
And many many do

Raise their spirit skyward
Create a bond as they
Saw Michio as their honoured friend
Where forever he would stay
With us through the challenges
His power his honesty
His knowledge of the elements
How we could better see

The sense of life the magic
And the vital energy
His passing it has saddened us
But his journey clearly was
One of celebration his courage
Shone because
His wish for peace brought joyfulness
And exhilaration too
And a feeling of responsiveness
For many all life through
