Set aside

50 metres isn’t very far away
But that’s the separation that’s imposed
Between food grade and non food grade
But to me a simple poet
leaving it to fate to me seems closed
Down for wind blows pollen every which way
And 50 metres it’s so very short
So there can be no guarantee in my book
Well honestly that is what I thought
So LEAR and HEAR then comes to mind
And I wonder
If HEAR is grown on set aside maybe
LEAR can be contaminated often
BY HEAR and if that’s so
Then possibly
A simple bottle in a store
Could also
Contain more of the substance than was thought
If this was the case it could create a problem
In that case why is it the common trait
Every supermarket in the country
Has switched to it for their own
Label why
It really is in everything they market
Is it because the profit margins high
The wind takes pollen everywhere
And it’s therefore far and wide
Plants come up all over and thus without analysis
Of every single batch we could now slide
Down into the dark abyss
Someone out there must have thought it through
I just hope that the powers to be are ready
For what the lowering of immunity might do
