They sawed off his horn and blinded him

This poor soul not only

had its horn sawn off

but was blinded too

the poachers

thought that in the afterlife

he’d identify them

so if they do

not dig his eyes out

they would be

implicated seems to me

and so this poor soul

took the brunt

of their ignorance

this was no stunt

this was  terror this was pain

and the Rhino

almost went insane

wandering blindly on his own

with more pain than he’d ever known

infection fever it was there

his face sawn off

it wasnt fair

this wickedness

this shameless act

their amorality was a fact

they abandoned him

and let him go

Bleeding out as well we know

such transgression seems to me

such extreme delinquency

unforgivable what they’ve  done

his mortal wounds  dried in the sun

the maggots came and did devour

the infected parts

one wonders how

this animal managed to soldier on

with half his fact now in fact gone
