understanding them

Its all about a lack of understanding

the Japanese lack sentience and they

operate on face which to them is

paramount

to us  we do not delve that far

and pay

attention quite as much

to this emotion

it doesn’t categorize the

way we feel

if another group provide some evidence

it upsets their equilibrium for real

to hunt and kill the dolphins

out of Taiji

and other Japanese ports

it must be said

they don’t  appear to have

the same emotions for the creatures

and if we go on at them

they see red

and why they do it

and how they do it

doesn’t matter

whether its right or wrong

irrelevant too

they carry on regardless

almost robots

this is really now just what they do

regret really there is no such word

soul searching not at all

not for the same reasons

that loss of face perhaps

but whether its right or wrong

is not on call

in no way apologetic

they cannot understand

the value we place on the soul

for them it all gets fanned

the fire in them is burning

the dolphin victims they

clearly were the beginning

but now they have to stay

victims to this emotion

to this connivance

to this pain

to this lack of understanding

that does truthfully now drain

the activists and the perpetrators

both on a different course

and there is no consolation

as we all try to force

the Japanese to see our point

it never will be seen

they will go on regardless

no matter how obscene

the spitefulness is clearly

created from within

their hardness so apparent

its seen now as a sin

wilful and malicious

resentful to a tee

the Japanese have lost their way

which the activists now see

its a savage world  on which we stand

and the voiceless bear the pain

they are messengers sent to guide us

but our meagre brains in vain

destroy and hurt  them daily

its the ego and the mind

that dampens down the sentiment

on benevolence we are blind

love and light is missing

humanity may kneel

helpfulness and harmlessness

and sympathy are real

tenderness is not weakness

forgiveness holds great power

but all the while there are victims

that sacrifice and cower

the emotive spirit reigns

and is strengthened by  them, they

are cut to pieces in the fight

for its seems the only way

ignorance and arrogance

are the cancers of the soul

they may end existence

for no one can control

the ego on the downward drive

to no where let us say

as war and evil stretches across the plains

and we all pay

remorse is not in their psyche

neither is their guilt

they are never going to see it

the knife pushed to the hilt

its all out in the open

under tarp’s so we

can watch the bloody torture

from our armchairs on TV

its all there for our benefit

no atonement will

ever come from  the Japanese

they have had their fill

of us and our emotions

which  we lock behind closed doors

in the abattoirs now everywhere

and we seldom pause

where murdering is widespread

where blood runs everywhere

as cruel as ever they are

but its misplaced despair

the tarps of Taiji remind us

of what goes on at home

but we cannot admit  to the grief

surely many a tome

gathers dust in libraries

in cavernous displays

where vegan spirits

venture forth

to view those pristine trays

what will be the answer

I have no real idea

except to remove the market place

for death and flesh and fear
