It happened on Chios

It happened on Chios

in the Aegean sea

a magical place

supposedly

an 8 year old child

got to cats from a shop

and murdered one of them

he just wouldn’t stop

bashing it crashing it

till it was dead

covered in blood

from its feet to its head

they say its neglect

and the parents blame

but one cat is dead

and the child’s not the same

why would a child do this

to a being you say

clearly disturbed

and for that he must pay

needs to be looked at

checked out to see

what made him do this

how can it be

he lives on an island

a beautiful place

and is spawned from some devil

a rotten disgrace

the other cat shocked

clearly terrified too

to being alive still

knowing what he could do

that cat is in care

and the parents will be

done for neglect

for the rest we shall see
