An 8 year old cat

and her kittens

were set alight it seems

at the moment no one knows

by whom

but clearly the worst of dreams

befell this little community

in Houston when they were found

they all had extensive injuries

clearly they all were drowned

in the flames of someone’s hatred

innocence can’t respond

to what was truly wicked

and depraved

clearly that bond

between a feline mother

and her babies had to be

close and so exceptional

and so all painfully

escaped death and destruction

but now bear the agony

burning and infection

is extraordinary

its abject pain

and its terrible

who could do this

one must ask

5000 dollars will be paid

to those  who thought they’d bask

in the media attention

brought on by their evil deed

but whoever did this must be reminded

Bastet she will lead

your soul into the quagmire

and there they will devour

every part of you slowly

reminding you of their power
