Kyriakos Filippakis the hero of the day

It happened in Salomina

where natural beauty sees

so much in the minds eye

that really ought to please

a dog lie by the roadside

motionless, in pain

some brain dead specimen

had run into him, and  again

hadn’t bothered to stop he  just drove on

just left  for dead

this is criminality

and this is what has led

us to feel resentful

how the people are

sinful really wicked

culpable they scar

the planet with their infamy

their amorality

their shamelessness

their wrong doing

their immorality

the dog had not hurt anyone

it deserved its place to be

and it was sent to kingdom come

the driver didn’t see

the anguish and the agony

he just drove off at speed

couldn’t feel the innocence

and where that pain did lead

injured lying quietly

hopeful  he would be

able to get better

and live again so free

misunderstood and faultless

faultless to a tee

totally misunderstood

a font of decency

we tried to pick the sweet soul up

and tried to get someone

to stop their car and help us

easier said than done

Salomina’s spirit

had clearly blown away

degeneration on a scale

that sickened us that day

ungenerous of spirit

self seeking egoistic

detached in fact from reality

dispassionate and  so sick

a villainy inherent

immoral deep inside

they were just all reprobates

with just no where to hide

we begged them all to help us

but no one wanted to know

we both felt so abandoned

by them and that did grow

Salomina what a place

its people dreadful to

anyone with problems

they didn’t have a clue

of kindness and of thoughtfulness

and so what my man did

was find a bucket

and place the dog

in it yes it was big

and we walked about a mile or so

in the blazing sun

and nobody would stop their car

absolutely none

imagine for a moment how hot

it was out there

struggling with a dog

a dying dog

all that despair

the people

have degenerated

into monsters there

they look like human beings

but they haven’t got a care

heartless soulless bastards

who need a bullet fast

they have eyes but can’t see a thing

their bloody die is cast

this indeed is a hell hole

where the doomed must be

they have no real life in them

Kyriakos  I  could see

was  far beyond their spirit

a hero he became

he carried that dog and saved his life

yes the very same

heritage as all those vile

inhuman creatures who

drove passed honking their fat horns

clueless to what to do

trolls in the midst of an an angel

that’s how I view that day

when we got to the veterinary

we knew it was the way

he grew in stature for  I’m sure

felt safer naturally

my husband walked the extra mile

with a bucket on him broad

he struggled but he made it

and got his reward

the dog lived and was seemingly

joyful to be found

to have become his hero

shows  love was around

waiting to be manifest

waiting to be seen

in a place where evil

exists with the obscene

they drive about all blinded

by the sinister and unkind

by the malevolent and violent

that’s all that’s left behind

nobody is humble

humility has flown

its all about their vanity

the emptiness has shown

conceitedness and bumptiousness

and cockiness its all

stuck up  all self satisfied

the bluster of the fool

the victim has recovered

faith has brought him through

faith created healing

its what good tidings do

my husband was a hero

he did what he had to do

he carried that heavy bucket

and his inner strength shone through
