getting to grips with the Taiji fisherman’s lack of emotional candour

a spitefulness

a vindictiveness

an intolerance to  life

dolphins in their family pods

cushioned from the strife

but frightened into breaking ranks

and swimming to Taiji

by the  unconsoling callous hearts

of the fisherfolk who be

waiting for the season

the time thats ripe when they

take their pipes and hammers

and go beyond the bay

out into the waters

where the pods may be

and bang upon those pipes of hell

so bloody ruthlessly

not one grain of gentleness

no sympathy at all

they are evil doers

an unenlightened fool

a rather wicked infidel

who wants to breach the soul

out of any innocent

and then  to take control

they have the worst intentions

they want to slaughter and

steal the pretty perfect ones

and sell them on the land

the sea parks to those concrete tanks

for slavery and pain

entertainment for the mindless

and the inhumane

uncharitable behaviour

outrageousness and more

the caustic baneful larceny

hardboiled and unsure

oppressive gloating strangers

ferocious in their way

fiendish in their planning

how they now betray

those of us the dolphins

who appreciate so much

acknowledging the spirit

of just being in touch

the justice of the moment

time honoured is our plight

the infinite our destiny

we just all know what’s right

getting to grips with their candour

their disrespectfulness

their irreverence

for what is ours

when we have no redress

they appear so aweless

scurrilous they do

they humiliate us regularly

and vulgarize us too

Taiji we know the cove is there

where many of us die

the pipes of sin we hear them

you humans might ask why

our sonar is terribly sensitive

the fear that it creates abroad

we become so disillusioned

and many feel the sword

us dolphins we know it comes closer

the killing bays are up ahead

retribution maybe the solution

unappeasable thats whats been said

Nemesis knows  what is out there

Neptune he’s on our case too

the Sea Shepherds and the Cove guardians

and my dears hopefully YOU

Pray for us put out your myriad spells

think of our plight in the sea

come to the embassy shout in the streets

lets them hear now where we be

raise up your placards

sing to the sky

dance in the rivers

where others do ply

give us the spirit that works

into soul

give us your strength

that we may control

the evil desire

of the fishermen who

murder and maim

turning the cove from blue

to crimson  so wretched

with sinew and blood

with the cries of the innocent

lost in the flood

you are our angels

animal rights

come with your banners

come with your lights

light up the darkness

show them the way

the Japanese fishermen

how they will pay

their karma of sinfuless

its breaking soon

up in the darkness

beyond the moon

the winds and the lightening

the tsunami too

Nemesis threatens

a vengeance thats true
