2000 souls are designated
to be killed this year
it all kicks off in Seprember
oe so it would appear
2000 god knows how many pods
will be slaughtered out of hand
mothers, fathers sisters, brothers
cant they understand?
slaughtered in their prime
a species cleverer than those fishermen who are
are murdering them
under the tarps where it shows
the cove runs crimson
pithing sticking rods into their spine
and watching them bleed out slowly
each one on the line
shuddering with agony
hearing their parents cries
shuddering with a loathing
all these fishing guys
who have no pity none at all
just killing families who
live in peace and harmony
as Dolphins tend to do
playful caring creatures
a pleasure when they are seen
leaping through the surf and waves
as they have always been
following the ships that ply
and giving their display
and saving lives of drowning sailors
by keeping sharks away
these are the unique dolphins
family orientated
kindly souls
with special roles
tragically ill fated
when they reach Japan
and more especially Taiji
that’s when the bastard fishermen
jump about with glee
2000 innocent dolphins
the quota on the sheet
the fishermen can murder them
with cunning and deceit
trap them into coming
drive them to the place
slaughter them so brutally
it is such a disgrace
