Over fishing for profit and for wages

it goes without saying

the rise in the by catch

thats unwanted souls

who are tossed

back in the ocean

dead as a dodo

can you imagine

that cost?

its man he’s the culprit

the corporate fish taking

it really is bloody high

they lie through their back teeth

protecting their profits

all wanting some  of the pie

fish stocks are falling

the commercial fishing

is vast and is senseless to me

more of us need to be vegan

for goddess sake

and so protect the blue sea

but profit is what they are after

short term

thats what its about

long lines and seine nets

they all are insane

not many prophets

just wanting to gain

subsidies quotas

the Eu is useless

once again corporate wealth

fish the commodity

advertised widely

and most of it taken

with stealth

if we keep doing this

in 50 years

there will be nothing alive

we started with dodo’s

moved onto the Fishes

and how really will we  survive
