a dog whose broken hearted TRAGICALLY the dog died

Just one look

and it says it all

behind those thick bars

its a victim who

was loved I say loved

apparently

but it, does not ring true

look at the dog head bowed

and hearing

collective yelps

around the place

cries of woeful beings

clearly

hurting

the disgrace

wholly human

when love was his

the world seemed bright

around his yard

but a newer younger dog

was purchased

some one stronger

that could guard

and so he had to forfeit freedom

for this cage and that alone

that mean spirit broke his

cover

it was something he hadn’t known

was possible

the human heart was capable

of evil deed

the victims lost he’s given up

wherever else his life may lead

all that emotion

is too much

he cannot bring himself to feed

the consequence of this rejection

mortifies him clearly he

is ruptured by man unkind

whose wilful disregard could be

so blatant and so matter of fact

lacking any love at all

how can anyone react

to being driven up

the wall
