we were victims one minute and were saved the next

Rescued from the Dairy

hooked up night and day

to the machines that

stole our vital liquids

without pay

stole it from the calves we had

all were killed so you

could partake in the milk produced

for that is what you do

to be released and to enjoy

the green grass that once was

home to our ancestors

we were released because

that was to be our home coming

watch us as we play

kick our legs and really

dance about

our normal way

of showing off our joy

for life

its just wonderful

for we

might have been

in a world that was obscene

on a gantry

throats slashed

all now bleeding out

ready to meet our god

but we are in the light of day

our feet in the sod
