Killing their spirit

Captive Orca’s in a tank
of their own soup of course
its rank
round and round the concrete
walls
it sickens its sterile
they are not fools

unlike the humans who put them there
ignorance and beyond despair
where’s the plant life
where’s the sand
surely these trolls
can understand

these are ocean mammals who
need to see to think to view
humanity it lets them down
man un kind can go to town
he is free but Orca’s they
are prisoners that are made to pay

its thoroughly boring
with nothing to do
no one to chase
or to chase after you
no weeds and no shellfish
nothing to see
no coral no shoals
no turtles there be

what would we expect
from a soul in a jar
going completely mad
no one knows how far
but this stark existence
will not do them good
its cracking them up
more than it should

they are wild sea creatures
travel’s their thing
they can go miles
thats what does bring
them into contact
with so much to see
compared to these walls
as bare as can be
