Credence

We all put too much credence
on the good old business plan
to the death knot that’s the mortgage
of which I’m not a fan
holed up to the bankers for 40 years
or more
so they can bank their bonuses
somewhere far off shore

its all about the money
and that’s why its all wrong
take bee keepers they take advantage
they do that all along
the bee does all the foraging
buzzes around all day
the bee then makes the honey
which the bee keeper takes away

and of course we know what’s wrong
men with all their arrogance
takes 3/4’s of their
worth
and gives them back
white sugar
that wont improve their girth
it will compromise
their immunity
it will help the virus thrive
the mites the bugs
take them for mugs
and maybe they wont survive

maybe they do not want to
maybe its a luckless task
they work close to Nature
which isn’t much to ask
and the keepers keep the honey
and sell it all for money
the bees must settle for sugar white
and really they think that it is shite
it makes them weak
and what they say
is give up the ghost
lets fly away
