Separation causes it

For 9 long months the mother
carries her baby, she
thus is so very concerned
when its born successfully
and is taken on that very day
its is tragic for the cow
she clearly loves her baby
and we must now ask how
the farmer feels so powerless
the farmer brings on woe
the farmer due to profit
just cuts off the flow
of love from calf to mother
by taking the calf away
so that it cannot drink
its natural food and therefore pay
attention to its mother
whose milk is clearly there
but the farmer wants to sell it
to me and you, aware
that the calf might get a liking
for its mother milk and so
its separated straight away
off it has to go
and this is diabolical whatever faremers say
they make out they have reasons
and the cow and calf can pay
and of course they have no feeling
how could they anyway
of how the mother misses
her baby from that day

the mother can start lowing
its an errie sylph like sound
haunting and lamenting
a lot of people found
od mythical dimensions
in a run up to Halloween
haunting and uncanny
these adjectives have been
used by local residents
who were worried when they heard
these strange cries of affection
that soon after occured
farmers give their reasons
I choose to disregard
clearly its a mother
who has been working hard
tpprovide the base nutrition
only to find that she
is separated from her calf
and cries incessantly
she’s beside herself with worry
for her special little soul
who needs her base nutrition
and no sod will console
that feeling from her heart
which clearly emantes each day
the farmers cold approach to it
says it all I’d say
greed and blood selfishness
seeling milk to those
humans who imagine their mother
figure grows
more cowlike by the moment
but when either is put down
you wont hear any tears from them
though in their own blood they drown
the calf is put down rapidly
sent to he abattoir
if its male thats the sad tale
and it leaves a massive scar
on the mother she will ne’r forget
the passing of her child
as for us we care not
till we hear the cry thats wild
that haunts the sunshine dairy
that curdles blood around
the lament of cows and their babies
as their tiny hearts do pound
