Romania Today

Romania is showing us its true colours
its laws are proving frightfully unfair
its not taken into account
that this is true life
these are lives these souls are living
through their strife
the streets are like a battleground
for certain
people are the problem not the strays
its people who have took them and decided
to throw them out to go their separate ways
when they were born they were loved perhaps
for a little while
and then when times changed they were the victims
and they
were thrown out just like rubbish in the council bin
unprepared and lost to make their way
through a battlefield where human flotsam
was ready just to murder them on sight
imagine if you can what that must feel like
in your hearts you know that isn’t right
but what can you do but try to become a survivor
everywhere you go their traps and you
have to live out on the streets you have be so careful
so you do
and laws are passed to kill on sight
more problems
Romania was no place to be born
so many people wants your guts for garters
the realization is there of the new dawn
and you witness many a vile event ahead of you
beatings, kickings, hangings yes you’ve seen
imagine how that would make you feel
when each time you looked for perhaps a meal
you ended up as the meal its quite obscene
Emma was a lucky one she was put out and hit
crossing the road nobody slows
and blood she began to spit
the car had run her over her back legs they were crushed
and fortunately 4 Paws International had rushed
rescued her and helped her back to life
away from woe
they became her angels as everyone does know
people with hearts beating for every soul they see
these are the true angels they look like you and me
no wings well not to speak of
but wings that help them to
find and save these woeful souls
who were in the public view

Emma is now better she is walking on some wheels
a little cart was fashioned and she now gets regular
meals
she is one of the fortunate ones thousands have been lost
murdered strung up burned alive their price of life
has cost
them dearly and it carries on and on and on and on
the new law will just make things worse
humility has gone
samaritans are a dying breed its the hoodlums
who pass by
who murder and who torture they could be you or I
they could really anyone whose feels the need to be
unkind and unhelpful in the face of adversity.
