What some people do for effect

I don’t know what is happening
and why so many do
such really sick things to animals
and video it too
stick up on face book
the cruelty and pain
I mean it is beyond so many
and its all in vain

the animals how they suffer
life gets tougher for them here
cruelty is common place
it clearly doesn’t cheer
the heart the soul the anything
it sickens me inside
these earthlings are so innocent
in us they do confide

their loyalty is apparent
the one I see today
is a man who should no better
with a puppy dog whose way
off what could not be conceived
as ignorant as shit
he’s pouring what looks like vodka
down its throat as it does sit

trying to get away
and clearly feeling its not right
what gets into people
they are just not in the light
they descended to the darkness
sank into the brackish sea
and that is where they ought to stay
well that’s if you ask me
