To be a piglet in a factory farm is like smoking pot in a washing machine its something no one in their right mind would attempt

The tragedy here is that pigs
have a heart
pigs are so sensitive right
from the start
their teeth were chipped off
their tail torn of too
and their testicles pulled
with pliers it is true
imagine those 3 operations and all
without anaesthetic it would have a call
on whether a baby could cope
with the shock
just on its own the tail when they dock
the pain is extreme
and its done without care
its no wonder that piglets
die with despair

take one little runt
whose had all that done
and is now left behind
on a wooden run
its clear he’s no food
and no water at all
and they hope that he
snuffs
and that as a rule

is what farm yard
compassion and care is about
its a hopeless scenario
its just a rout
irremediable outcomes
that is the sin
and he tries and he tries
and he tries and he tries
falls over gets up
look into his eyes

he’s is just a baby
but his eyes have seen hell
and seeing and being
well he knows well
how bad this existence
is even right now
as he stumbled and bumbles
one watching says wow!
he has fighting spirit
but little besides
his muscles are flabby
his tentative strides
are weak, this boys sick
he tumbles and falls, gets up
and tumbles these are the rules
he goes by
and that’s all he has in the world
he slipped out of his mother
where he had been curled
and now he was hungry and thirsty
but they weren’t coming back for him
no time today
