She felt she needed to be at one with her dead horse before they ate him

Posing naked
wrapped inside her dead horse
a horse she had loved but
needed now to be
at one with it her words
she took out all its organs
and in its blood and viscera
was she
peering from the carcass
her body swathed in horse
whilst her boyfriend takes the
picture its seems very strange
of course
blood paints her anatomy
is it random I can’t tell
holding up the heart
a sordid message now they sell
it has the strangest flavour to it
this aberation deviates
it leaves me feeling awkward
are they a pair of reprobates
or just in touch with some dark fear
irregular but still sincere
its hard to come to terms with this
a desecration is never bliss
and where in, she’d wanted to lie
inside that friend who had ambled by
one wonders how its gentle soul
may now feel now in its higher role
is it enabled now to see
what they have done
and will she be
at one with him
his taste his smell
was she the creature in his shell
peering through the viscera
the brave new world ahead
and how that single shot from her
rifle had left him truly dead
