Loading and unloading cows( this picture shocked me)

To see this
is to realise
their helplessness
its not weakness
but a vulnerability
a cow is hoisted by its two legs
high into a hold
its powerless and disabled
tragically
the industry has
undermined integrity
its paralysed the spirit
for we see
a really shocking picture
from a dock somewhere
manhandling a cow
which saddens me
it clearly shows
the authority considers
a being of this nature
need not be
given any respect
and apparently they deduce
that what they have
is a commodity
the breaking down of
sense and sensibility
has taken place
in the industrial factory farm
the animals raised there
for them its pure despair
they seemingly become
an oddity
no longer a living breathing
caring earthling
the way they load and unload
proves beyond
any doubt no consideration
its pitiful and its so grim
to respond
its abusive and unflattering to see this
with scant regard for any decency
my feelings are it smacks
of obvious arrogance
and what is in effect
done so rudely
that we have let our morals slip
to this extent
and show the world at large
how we’ve become
sullen with a gruffness
of a bunch of trolls
heartless in our manner
yes and some
and back to that sweet cow
displayed for everyone
to see
hanging on a pulley
frightened obviously
not an inkling of thought or care
just leave her hanging in the air
nothing more than a sack of coal
and this a mother a creative soul
imagine the grief she feels today
beeing treated in such a way
