Snake Bait

It happened in the Cameroons
and played out down a hole
one man wraps his leg up
in some bandages
his role
is bait for down that
watery place
there just could be a snake
a wondrous anaconda
who might just be awake
kicking this and that way
eventually he feels
the snake has got hold of his leg
and guess what that reveals
he’s being pulled back down the whole
and his mates come to his side
and pull the snake out of the hole
and rapidly decide
to cut the anaconda in half
and watch it crawl
the bait man took a bashing
but was all right after all

its cruel its downright awful
that snake was in its hole
if they had not disturbed it
at least it knew its role
instead some ass hole pushes
a leg into this place
hoping to hunt a snake
so it was in his face
its a shame the snake was murdered
and I have no idea what for
all hunters tend to make me sick
and this one does for sure
