What we look like
How we feel
sometimes i despair
we have to look within ourselves
and realise we share
so much of our being
with others and therefore
the thin veneer
the world can see
is just that
and whats more
dis- ease may come and test
us
our resolve may take a hit
we may be swallowed by it
we may believe the shit
that’s thrown at us
for it will be
society is like that
it kind of follows established paths
and some of thats old hat
we must break out of
all the shells foisted on us by
the standard kind of rules and regulations
that apply
live our lives
in each moment
mirror what we do
try to help each other
then the light comes shining through
Lizzy has that weird disease
which means she’s very thin
skeletal in appearance
but that can underpin
the strength the inner power she has
her messages are bright
she can move great mountains
though her body mass is slight
all of us have inhibitions
all of us tend to
whether we are pretty flowers
all of us must do
our best with what we are given
for life force is our gift
we all can enjoy something
giving others a kind of lift
Lizzie is an example
she has made it through
the torment and the bullying
and the things that people do
she had lovely parents
who loved her and who be
always very positive
they helped her to see
and she helped them to see too
call her what you will
she is sent to save some of us
and her love it will spill
out of her she’s happy
and can using her soul
help those deemed as more fortunate
into their own sweet role
Doctors I despair sometimes
the consultation can
prepare us for a life of sickness
as it all goes down the pan
drugs and even walking frames
wheel chairs and the like
we must stand up for what we believe
we must get back on our bike
sometimes they are right I suppose
but a bit of thought can do
wonders for the powerless
maybe even YOU
