Smart Meters

The dictatorial stance of
Public Utilities in the States
makes everyone uneasy
one only has to glance
one can hear the mass objections
of householders that feel
this micro wave box causes fires
and this problem is for real
also they are spies and cast
dispersions on us all
they regulate our being
from out there on the wall

they act as spies
big brother, from the utility
will know our inner feelings
and workings routinely
bills increase I have heard tell
at an enormous rate
and often with power surges
fires occur of late

the UK has just dropped the idea
for at least a while
to look into the implications
they have watched the trial
introduction clearly in the USA
where the Public utilities
all have the last say

if you refuse their meter
they switch you off and you
cannot get electricity
that is what they do
micro wave radiation
is not healthy no its not
and just because they want it
we must sign on the dot

well, its not going to happen
a lot of people said
we don’t want smart meters
many have seen red
they lead to immune problems
and cancers and so they
are being refused or taken down
for that appears the way

There is total inflexibility
the analogues were great
what the hell do we need the so called
smart meter this trait
of spying on us day and night
with everything we do
and the analysis of our usage
big brother comes on through

Orwell was suspicious
but couldn’t have realised
just how damned specific
the utilities data mystifies
all what are their reasons
for this cloak and dagger stuff
tragically for them and us
most have now had enough

in America there have been fires
and households told that they
will be switched off completely
if they try to take away
the smart meter or modify
it in any way at all
this is a micro wave box
and it must stay on the wall

making people inside sicker
spying on them night and day
potentially causing fires to rage
when power surge happens
so some say
and they will not pay a penny
its non insurable they say
big brother it seems is getting snotty
what we must do is just not pay

everybody down the street
must stand together and tell them No
take your meters and go and stick them
anywhere where they don’t show
we don’t want them
there’s nothing wrong with
analogues we’ve had for years
if it means we all get switched off
so be it when the thick smoke clears

the Utilities will have to climb down
a mass switch off will cost them dear
We must test how smart they are
we must prove we are sincere
We don’t want their spies around us
sending radio active rays
through our walls and through our bodies
its the corporate malaise

in the UK its established
there are problems and they will
investigate the spying tactics
and the health issues which do still
cause some fear and consternation
as such its thought best to go slow
so we must watch and wait the outcome
and meanwhile ensure the objections grow
