Prison

I have never been a fan
of metal cages
the fact that most of us live in them, we, remember all the “ticky tacky”
boxes
that many tower blocks force on us, and for me
they are not entirely made of bars but boxes
plaster brick and plastic
some call home
locked to keep intruders out
and only empty when we choose to roam
but prison cells are barred and locked
and that is when
that human conditions are kind
of filed away
addiction on conviction
becomes a dereliction
and then a contradiction so to say
cages barred, and policed that cell like quality
restriction, even fiction
jurisdiction and all pay
there is no easy rule
or calculation
out there in the tower bock conurbation
close proximity
it sort of seems to me
an error of our times
frustratingly

and if there is an answer
its not now so apparent
corruption has gone into
the police and corporate state
the new world order hierarchy
doles out legislation
and those caught in the poverty trap
well they just have to wait

where queues of well intentioned
social cretins
appear to be a force for good
but they
are really in the pay of the
new corporates
with agenda’s that when known
blow some away
