The corporate stranglehold
its like a vice grip on the poor
farmers are taking hits
in fact its all out war
Corporate power is clearly passed its sell by date
and they
have us where they want us
and all we do is pay
people do get desperate,
not knowing what to do
and a couple of Chinese farmers in Turlock
took the view
all they could do was shut up shop
whilst the batteries could stay
and 50,000 chickens could just starve
Yes they could pay!

with their sad lives,the farmers
unconscious of the fear
insensitive of agony
just walked away
its clear
whatever pressure comes upon one
live earthlings are to be
looked after not abandoned
and left to misery

these vast vile sheds already
were hell on earth its true
but abandoning them with no food and no water
nobody should do
the cages were just miniscule
these poor souls could not stand
or even move a muscle
each one out on a strand

lying in its excrement
and urine all the day
being burned by the ammonia
for such torment they did pay
the stench of death and squalor
was acrid and so vile
no nose on earth is mean’t for this
how can one reconcile?

the awfulness that these birds
did withstand for hours on end
brutality depravity
the message it did send
to any thinking person
who must have smelled this pain
outside of this facility
running into the drain

many birds just gave up
to be pecked to death by those
hungrier than hungry
where the competition grows
starving, hens and maggots
fighting for their food
this sort of competition
is just terror, its just crude

and when they pulled the switch
and left them to their own resource
the agony the torment
well it was just of course
beyond the pale completely
unflinchingly they went
left these poor unfortunates
to starve to death
just bent

on getting out and leaving
their problems all behind
this degree of cruelty
would be very hard to find
a worse case if one thinks about
the implications here
no water and no food at all
imprisoned in such fear

it can not be imagined
this hell hole strips the heart
out of any thinking person
even taking part
in rescuing these poor souls
from what is certain death
left them fretting day and night
and fighting for each breath

and possibly in all the stench
no water and no food
in essence this is gruesome
to the point that they exude
blood and snot and shit
and have to eat it, to survive
imagine that fighting off the maggots
each alive

each struggling to win over what
dead flesh they could get
in a tiny rusty cage
by that time bloody wet
with diarrhoea and with
god knows what else just dire contamination
I mean we cannot begin to think
about such tribulation

by this time the body would shut down
and be in survival mode
I can’t believe that anyone
would just go down this road
there are no reasons on this earth
to do this
sentient beings have such feelings,they
must have felt so let down as
their world just fell apart
and nobody around to save the day

clearly there was never a justification
it was murder,of everyone of these poor souls
50,000 of them left to starve to death
and the authorities outside had no controls
the environment outside the plant
must have given away
the infernal fire that burned inside this shed
retribution it has not come rapidly
when nearly all of them have wound up dead

they suffered egregious pain and torture
no doubt intoxicated by the pain of Hell
to sit inside a wire box and not get food or water
for over two whole weeks in all that smell
of anyone who reads this knows the reality
will kill these birds, sooner than one thinks
the suffering is immense
everywhere is tense
and honestly it really makes no sense

the death cloud hangs and droops over the area
California’s abundance clearly lost
people just slip through the net, and straight into
a place of debt
and obviously this can be
at quite some cost
the authorities euthanized nearly all of them
thousands gassed in boxes under stress
what an end to a life so dire and miserable
4000 or so were rescued, their redress

a sanctuary and good homes for the most part
but all those poor unfortunates who died
there is no coming back of course
but really this ordeal
was brought about by greed and what’s at source
the owners are to be soon prosecuted
the terror they created is to be
invetigated but I am quite confident
that as the corporates grow then we shall see

more and more souls taken to the cleaners
lost all of them in the pits of slime
whilst the corporates clean up on the earthlings misery
and all without a lengthy prison time
4000 or so were saved the stronger one’s
the survivors went to sanctuaries and they
would live life, as they could never have expected
most of them couldn’t walk, how they did pay

for the life they had cramped into such small cages
these are birds with wings and hearts and souls
these are birds with feeling and what is this revealing
those human beings truly were sick trolls
the public though are buying into all of this
the corporate systems providing eggs and meat
this is what is happening to the food trade
the animals are tortured to compete

with the power house and the corporates on prices
the animals are commodities, and they
are tortured in these bloody concentration camps
so each segment makes its mark up, its the way
welfare of the birds is not an issue
its money, its the margin that’s the thing
everyone wants something now for nothing
in essence this is what it all does bring

to the table to the pristine supermarket trays
these vile dark goings on that no one sees
no one cares its all about cheap prices
as long as the corporate balance sheet does please
the bankers and the share holders and supermarkets moguls
they now run the world and call the shots
the animals we eat, well they are only meat!
the poor farm workers oh yes there are lots

but they have very little, they are suffering
basically they are slaves with little pay
unless you are a CEO or a banker in the city
really you are washed up anyway
50,000 chickens a catastrophe
but everywhere one looks
out for there we know
concentration camps owned by great monsters
are killing off our spirits
it is so

more powerful by the minute
swallowing down the private farms
all the markets and little shops
they know
the writings on the wall
the planets reeling
huge great lakes of poo and chemical waste
radio active, pesticides and evil
this is something now that must be faced

fracking of our land again the corporates
have stitched the ordinary land owner
up and they
realise the corporates
and their new world order people
have taken stock
and all of us must pay.
