My plea to pop stars and all the people in the spotlight

I sit and ponder sometimes
why pop stars and the rest
people now on centre stage
think that it is best
to play with hearts and minds
a bit and wear dead animal skin
go out in the spot light
and commit what is a sin

its going to put the backs up
of a lot of people who
love the precious animals
and know what the fur trade do
and wonder why their idols
are blind and deaf and dumb
to the cruelty
to the evil
and my goddess there is some

its not as if
you do not need the support
of course you do
so thumbing your nose
at supporters is a tactic and a view
that’s not without risk and may be
there are others still
who may take up the agenda
and your popularity will

descend, you will lose favour
for clearly what we see
is not the kind considerate
souls we all thought you would be
glamour in some dead skin
that would rot and start to smell
except it has been processed
by the people we know well

who pay so little for that skin
that attracts the cruelty
and my Goddess its so evil
it is out there
go and see
and you are party to it
so stop it, if you care
stop this arrogance cut them out
show people you are aware

the skins of the dead animals
the trade off is so bad
honest take a tip from me
their lives are only sad
and the fur trade they are using you
abusing you as well
for cruelty to animals
gets them a place in Hell
