Foie Gras(Diseased fatty livers) Brigitte Bardot Fortnum and Mason and me(the poet)

Its clear Fortnum and Mason
have some influential souls
supporting them and many
have warped and nasty roles
in cuisine, and whatever else they do
for Foie Gras really has to be
the nastiest vilest food
that’s ever been conceived, a plea
from Brigitte Bardot
and not just Brigitte Bardot
but all of animals rights
and of course me
making it is banned here
importing it is not
its wonderfully exotic
some people like it a lot
its so hard to achieve it
for what you have to do
is basically torture
ducks and geese
until they drop, a few
may actually still be in this world
their livers shot away
with fat like no one ever wants
diseased yes so to say
induced disease induced by us
force feeding twice a day
a tube is thrust into their throats
that bleed a lot they say
they ulcerate and become so sore
imagine that and, we
carry on ramming a tube down
and feed them forcibly
their livers get extended
ribbed with loads of fat
imagine the evil sickness
just imagine that
they don’t live all that
time on earth
but every single hour
their tortured until they
want to die
and some do wondering how
along comes Mr slaughterer
and breaks their scrawny necks
and tears open their bodies
kind of clears the decks
finds the sordid item
a liver full of fat
and minces it and flavours it
and this is where we’re at
Foie gras or diseased liver
spread on toast with tea
what it does for ducks and geese
Brigitte Bardot and me
and animals right protaganist’s
is make us all sick too
concerned about the ducks and Geese
who have to still go through
this unbelievable life
short, but full of pain
and all we ‘re saying to Fortnum’s
is don’t sell it again
