Canada’s seal slaughter begins in earnest

Despite a failing market
and Europe sayiing NO
despite the years of petitions
with seal products cloaked in woe
and misfortune almost everywhere
Canada begins
its clubbing clearly rubbing
salt into its sins

baby seals seems lost upon these
icy flows and they
are being slaughtered once again
they are having to pay
their lives cut short
their murders apparently will be
allowed to carry on
despite it all
and so the sea

will once again run red
the souls of babies will
be battered and be shattered
as more of them they kill
Bludgeoned with their axes
and sticks as done before
so reducing suckling babies
to a mass of bloodied gore

the people there seem
unperturbed as Canada’s
riding high
economically more stable
than Europe, which is why
they probably can carry on
this torture and this pain
because at home the Government
is doing what they claim

and so that seems the answer
if your economically
rising to the challenge
and a few souls have to be
slaughtered then its al right
the fish stocks have to be
protected and so on they go
creating purgatory
