A fashion statement (exotic furs) the pick of the bunch

We live in a world
where if you have no money
nobody loves you
but might think your funny
this is the problem
for those of us who
fight the good fight
and what does accrue

the rich and the famous
scratch backs all the way
to the bank that’s the nature
of what makes you pay
exotic wild animals
what chance do they
have in the scheme of things
NIL I would say

If the rich wants to wear them
some goof will go
and shoot one to order
with money, you know
ethics and cites
and all the good stuff
when it comes to a fashion
they can’t get enough

Designers and corporates and
furriers they
don’t listen to reason
why should they, no way
its what pays the banksters
that the idea
not petition and write and spread
more public fear

and so this is it
the rich and the poor
we love the animals
others ignore
they wear the dead bodies
they don’t care from where
or whether or not
we are or they are
still there

so we comment on face book
we twitter away
and they kill the animals
and they make it pay
no body listens and more furs come on
more animals murdered
and one day they’ll be gone
and when its too late the price
will be high
and all of the creatures
well of course they did die

and that is the end of it
the rich will find
something as good to just blow
their mind
maybe the skin of a bloke from Blackpool
or a pelt from a cat
or the hide of some Bull
they have the upper hand
they call the shots
what is really sad
is that many are Tw**ts
