Souls

Who are we
to dare to say
that animals do not
have an immortal essence
possibly a lot
of mortals in their portals
expound their brave ideas
based on someone’s ego
and those everlasting fears

I discount all such ramblings
a soul creates a way
those so called fine fanatics
don’t know the time of day
they treat the animal earthlings
as commodities and as things
a filament of fantasy
and all that that now brings

To me the soul is evident
the animals create
many are so very much advanced
in a true state
of being in the moment
adamant of now
don’t ever let me hear you say
look at that soulless cow

Religion teaches dogma
earth magic is my thing
animals have everything
and to this world they bring
equal measure equality
in every sense a way
to gather souls and testify
as they rest
and they work and play
