Killing a horse to make animal rights activists angry

How easy it would be
to jump the gun
yes, sometimes, when we do hear
like today that some guy
just shot a horse
and the reasons he gave
were quite clear

he wanted to put the backs up
of the animal rights people
out there, his words
this was his judgement
this was the action he took
he away with the birds

clearly unstable
he needs some counselling
someone needs now to control
killing an innocent horse in cold blood
is not his or anyone’s role

as we now slide down the slippery slope
of evil we must stand our ground
we know what’s right
if there’s a blight
no matter, our judgement is sound

we are the warriors
and what we do is save
help, and try to create
a world fit for everyone
safe free of fear
where its wrong to kill anyone, mate

yes we are weary
yes we get angry
but calmness wins through in the end
what this man did to an innocent horse
was take away, a good friend
the horse the unfortunate victim
of what was an unstable mind
but he helps the cause
now we will pause
and carry on working
to find

a reason why animal earthlings
are singled out and given hell
by frustrated workers whose arrogance
surfaces, and gets ramped up, I hear tell
its a weakness in them and its awful
that animals suffer such fates
but we in the movement have to stay calm
no matter how their action grates
