Eating Lions

Lion meat
you’d have to be joking
but restaurants appear to feel they
have every right to just
source it
for where there’s a will
there’s a way
they work on the USP angle
they forget lions
and how sad their plight
their consciousness seemingly
left in some swamp
they cannot
and will not see the light

its just trying hard to shock let us say
or cook something some rarely see
tickle the taste buds
ramp up the interest
go for those feeling quirky
the law won’t prevent
them its purely
their hearts and their minds
that does that
so clearly those less ethic minded
around
might take on some lion
or some rat

its out there
and people now eat it
exotic meat, it is called
the meat is unclean
but the restaurant scene
nothing now is over ruled
so the King of the Jungle
joins victims
he’s on the menu now too
the meat trade is after his body
and somewhere no doubt
there’s a zoo

ready to part with some lion meat
its tragic that man has to be
descending into sickly regions
but then he believes he is free
prions though could so be present
Spongiform clusters attack
the brain and consumers
must be more aware
or may pay and there’s then
no way back

brains spinal columns and eye balls
are all fed to lions everyday
so to eat lions is risky
its stupid and wrong
its all in the pot
and not where we belong
