ATale of Tigers

Wild Tigers number some 3500
In China some 10,000 now are farmed
speed breeding is the answer
and its skins and bones
there after
despite the ban enforced b China
in 1993
everyone is at it
nod nod wink wink you see
back street bone enthusiasts
are bloody everywhere
pickling the tiger bones
in wine which is quite rare
for its stored for years and years on end
this tonic so to say
gulp some down and extend your life
that’s what people say
and of course the older playboys
are ready with their cash
to prolong their sexual acuity
the readies sure they flash
tiger tiger in the cage
breed them quick and see
the profit margins rising fast
that’s how it has to be

Despite the bone enactments
policing it appears
somewhere in the murky depths
where there are many fears
the money, the returns are good
and this spurs people on
to farming them
somewhere remote
and that is where they’ve gone

This the tale of tigers
the cruelty is high
these are souls that wander far
and inside cages die
mentally their very stressed
at being locked away
out of light and out of sught
with no where clean to play.
