Animal experimentation

Scalpels never won the heart
of any sensitive soul
who watches
surgeons operate on animals who do
not have a hair out of place
nor sickness not at all
its just experimentation
the corporates do gall
to experiment on an animal
which one would you pick
none re act like humans
its the arithmetic
bound up in conditions
what the markets requires
must be tested on animals
an adage that applies

70 millions animals
are maimed now every year
and that is just in America
land of the free
I hear
free they are to be
alone
on some laboratory slab
with a white coat doing tests on you
and all without a jab

blinding you, scalding you
burning you how they pay
even worse in fact I hear
than the CIA
force fed with vile chemicals
genetically altered too
science is a bloody waste of time
there that’s my view

Mice, Guinea Pigs, and Hamsters
Primates, dogs and cats
pigs even and rabbits
and of course the poor old rats
they all get toothpaste
and the rest squeezed into their eyes
and worse and worse
the only hope
something to surprise

Imagine that number
70 million strong
go on tell me shout it out
how can that be wrong
how can that be possible
torture on this scale
its evil and unbelievable
and why science does fail
