Zoe (the making of a bespoke perfume)

The first visible crescent
a magical space
when the sun and the moon
would appear to embrace

at the time of Aquarius
when the moon and the sun
and Aquarian’s feel
that new life has begun

at that precise moment
in my bijou
with those positive
energies all flowing through

redolent images
flavours of love
and the myriad scents
came to me from above

from beyond from around
from my heart from my soul
in that moment I still felt
in complete control

all the exquisite oils
and olfactory sense
I worked just to blend
and the power, was intense

subtlety though
catching messages that
with my intuition
showed me, I was at

a threshold of something
so magical, and
my olfactory sense
it just felt so grand

pulling together
the knowledge, I knew
with the new moon’s spirit
creating for you

Vanilla and Benzoin
Jasmine’s sweet flowers
that come out to dance
in the light evening hours

Cardamom’s promise
with hints of the east
under the desert stars
where nomads feast

and Lavender’s softness
that calms our desire
to run out and to jump
in the heat of the fire

I call it “luminary”
which is you
dear Zoe your light
its there, its on view

you,so inspire others
and in many ways they
derive that sweet power
from you every day

spirituality
comes with your name
and this perfume I’ve made
is really the same

it should enhance how
you create and attract
and realise happiness
for its a fact

the amalgamation
of wonderful scents
and the intrinsic harmony
of great events

coalesce in a spirit
of such understanding
an assimilation
which is so outstanding

celestial light
and an aura release
wacky sometimes
but so much inner peace

this perfume is magical
use it and see
life’s at its sweetest
it is, you can be

anything really
for you know the way
yes you have the means
and can make every day

brighter for you have
the light, it will be
you have that spirit
that affinity
